Moroccan romance in the mountains this Valentines Day Print E-mail
Imagine sipping a warm mint tea, wrapped in cosy blankets in a private Berber tent overlooking the snowy Atlas Mountains while the resident camel wanders past. This Valentine’s, you and your loved one can experience a romantic break like never before at Richard Branson’s ultra-luxurious Kasbah Tamadot in Morocco.

On your arrival at Kasbah Tamadot, celebrate with a glass of champagne before wandering through the extensive gardens, immersed in the scent of rambling roses. If something more energetic entices, there is a range of activities for couples to try. Golf, horse riding, hot air ballooning at sunrise and trekking in the Atlas Mountains are all available off-site and can be arranged from the hotel.

To relax after the day’s activities, guests can visit the Asounfou spa. Combining traditional Hammam with exclusive treatments, couples will be able to completely indulge in a range of treatments for both him and her.

When the sun goes down, your evening will begin with an intimate dinner for two in one of the Kasbah’s stunning private locations, then share mint tea in front of the fire in the cosy Salon before cuddling up in your ponchos and slippers (Babouches). These can be used for warmth on the roof terrace, which gives perfect views at night for stargazing, or a single Babouche on the outside of your door will let the friendly staff know you’d rather not be disturbed.

Kasbah Tamadot is located on the outskirts of Asni just a short 45-minute drive from Marrakech, making it perfectly placed for taking in both the buzz of Marrakech and the quiet beauty of the area surrounding the Kasbah. With Morocco just a quick three and a half hour flight away from the UK, guests can escape to the High Atlas Mountains and the must-see retreat of the year for a divine Valentine’s long weekend or indulge in a longer stay.

Kasbah Tamadot Valentine’s packages start from £849 per person for four nights in a superior room. Prices include return flights from Manchester or London, private transfers, accommodation with complimentary space-available upgrades, private sundowners in the Berber tent overlooking the mountains, one a la carte dinner for two, breakfast each morning and one hammam per person. A balloon flight costs an additional Dhs2500 (approx GBP£155) per person. Other excursions are available and are charged additionally.

The Valentine’s package is valid for four night stays between 6th January and 28th February 2006. For bookings call CV Travel on 0870 062 3420 or visit www.virgin.com/limitededition for more details.
