Nature of Morocco 5.0 out of 5 based on 85 reviews. Morocco has an amazing landscapes: from the Atlantic Ocean to the peaks of the Atlas mountains and from the Madirerranean sea to the edge of the Sahara desert. The wide range of nature colors changes during the four seasons. The Atlas mountain chain dominates on the north of the country and is divided into three parts: the Middle Atlas, the High Atlas and Anti-Atlas. The Middle Atlas has two national parks: the National Park of Ifrane and Tazekka which are among the most beautiful cedar forests of Morocco. Ifrane National Park is located on south of Fes and it has large reserves of water. Due to its nature Ifrane was called “Little Switzerland”.The park has beautiful oak and cedar forests. This park offers great hiking opportunities in the field as diverse as cedar, limestone plateaus and waterfalls. In Ifrane there are lakes and rivers where you can fish and enjoy the beauty of nature around,it’s also a hunting area as here are lot of wild animals. In winter it becomes a spot for skiing practice. Tazekka National Park is located in the Eastern Middle Atlas Mountains south of Taza. The main attractions are the Goufre Friouato and cedar forest that covers the top of Jebel Tazekka. The park has a rich flora and fauna and has amazing views. Toubkal National Park is the oldest in Morocco, is located in the Central High Atlas 70 km south of Marrakech. Mountain Toubkalis is the highest point in North Africa(4167 m). Toubkal area is a great place for trekking and hiking. Morocco has a long coastline covered with white sand. If you prefer to rest on beaches here is surely the place of your dream. Long sandy beaches and lagoons are at the Atlantic Ocean coast of Morocco. The Moulay Bousselham lagoon, Oualidia lagoon, the Souss Massa national park and peninsula of Dakhla are the high spots of natural heritage of Morocco, here are the best places for fishing, surfing and kite-surfing. The Souss Massa National Park is located on the Atlantic coast south of Agadir. The park has reserves and two of them are non –public as they are real examples of natural wildlife here is the home for addaxes, gazelles and red necked ostriches. The Al Hoceima National Park is located on the Mediterranean coast. It includes coast and water area to the west of the city of Al Hoceima. The water part of this park is populated by dolphins, and here you can see the red corals on the bottom. Oasis, canyons, kasbahs, sand dunes and amazing sunsets… These everything you can see in the Sahara Desert. Something mystical attracts people to visit this unique place in the world. In spite of limited conditional resources your trek thought the desert during few days will be unforgettable. Only here you can feel how air can be clean and stars can be close in the night time. During the summer months the temperature of the air can be here about 50-55°C, so it's better to travel to the desert in autumn and in winter time where the days are not so hot and nights are even cool. |
