Procedure for importing cars from the UK to Tangiers Morocco 3 Years, 10 Months ago
I would like to take my car to Morocco and leave it at my apartment. I want to be able to fly back to the UK and then go back as and when needed. Can I do this and leave my car in Morocco or do i have to take my car out before being able to fly?
I understand I am allowed to leave my car for 6 months but then would need to take the car back out of morocco to avoid customs duty. What is not clear to me is can I take it back into Morocco, if yes is their a time that must lapse before i can do this? How long can i keep it then in morocco again before having to come back out.
To summarise I want to avoid customs duty but have the flexibility to use my own vehicle once i am there.

questions.

Yes, you can leave your car in Morocco for 6 months. When you yourself are leaving before you have to go to the customs and leave the car there, fill out some paperwork, and I think also have to pay for the parking. When you are taking your car out of Morocco you can go back immediately. So like spending a day in ceuta and come back. I think you can do this a long time, don't know if there is a limit. But it will be always some trouble before you can go out of Morocco.
You can not leave it in Morocco longer without paying tax.
Soon there will be a big change in taxes, some goods will be free. But we don't know yet if this affects cars.
