I've booked some seats to Marrakech for the end of October and will be staying 7 nights. I'm travelling with my wife and daughter who is 2 years old. I'm wondering whether to stay in Marrakech for the full 7 nights or just stay for 3 and spend the remainder at the beach in Essaouira? I'm going to book either Le Meridien in Marrakech or the Sofitel as I think there will be more to do for our daughter. If I travel to Essaouira is it best to hire a car (are the roads safe?) or travel by train/coach.
I would take the coach from Marrakesh, they are reliable comfortable and very cheap. Car hire in Morocco is very overpriced and is not needed for such a short journey, plus, everything in Essaouira is close to each other.
